Welcome to my stop on the St. Patrick’s Day Blog Hop!
My favorite color is green. Wearing green on St. Patrick’s Day is pretty much the only St. Patrick’s tradition I participate in. I know, I know. Where’s my Irish pride? Where’s my holiday spirit? Well, I don’t like beer, and I’m not really a fan of corned beef or cabbage…especially the smell.
Despite my aversion to the traditional food and drink of the holiday (green beer, anyone?), I do faithfully don my green clothing every St. Patrick’s Day. Even when I worked in a doctor’s office, I had a green scrub top that I wore to work. Hey, I didn’t want to get pinched! It hurts! Of course, I try not to overdo it on my green. I don’t want to look like Barney…
I would really like to find a leprechaun, though. Not one of the scary ones. A cute, friendly one, who will share his pot of gold with me.
Anyone know how to build a leprechaun trap? Bueller?
What’s your favorite St. Patrick’s Day tradition? Tell me in the comments below for a chance to win a $10 Amazon OR Barnes & Noble (winner’s choice) gift card!
Even if my gift card offer doesn’t tempt you, leave a comment anyway for a chance at the two grand prizes: a Kindle Fire OR Nook Tablet (winner’s choice), and a $90 Amazon OR Barnes & Noble gift card (winner’s choice). There are over 120 authors participating in the hop, so you can leave a comment at each stop! Visit http://carrieannryan.blogspot.com/ for the full list. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

We don’t celebrate St. Patric Day in my country, so I don’t have nothing personal to share. When I see the TV relations from other countries there are many drinking and singing people wearing funny hats. I think for most it’s just an excuse to get drunk. However I like the other symbol of Ireland – clover. A four-leaf clover brings luck. I loved looking for them as a child.

My mom raised my brother and I. She was really into all holiday and St. Patrick’s day was no exception. Besides us all wearing green, she made all our food green…milk, spaghetti, cottage cheese, etc. It reminded my brother and I of mold but we were good kids and ate it! So that is my St. Patrick’s day memory and one I do NOT carry on with my family! LOL!

Chocolate covered strawberries covered in green and white drizzle chocolate. Also looking for the leprechaun is very important, our almost 10 yr old doesn’t believe anything exists anymore but ask her about Lucky and she will tell you he’s her friend!!!
The only thing I really do on St.Patrick’s Day is wear green. Thanks for the chance to win!

I’m half Irish/half Scots so every day is St Pattys Day for me.
Yeah, since corned beef and cabbage is American I do make that
my tradition has been to watch the NYC parade and to bake an irish soda bread using my grandma’s recipe from when i was little
My favorite part is wearing green too. Every year, I have students who forget to wear green and I spend a good part of the morning cutting out green clovers from construction paper so they can pin them on their shirts. Don’t want them getting pinched either! That’s a lawsuit waiting to happen! 😉
shoelace.sanders(at)gmail(dot)com
My favorite tradition is that we all dress in green .and go to my mom’s house for corned beef and cabbage.

I don’t have a tradition 😦 I did when I was younger: searching for four-leaf clovers, eating green foods, etc. But I don’t even like beer so I can’t partake in the green beer drinking not that I’m of age. Oh well, I’ll just party with the rest of you all!
Thanks for the giveaway and Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I don’t have one favorite thing. However, St. Patrick’s Day is a National Holiday at my house. We get ready for the parade at 7 which starts at 10. Then we go to the in laws and eat, eat, eat. Play games with the kiddos and eat some more. Some members exchange gifts. Then it is off to the pub crawl. Fun times for everyone.
