Six Sentence Sunday

I’m back with another six sentences from one of my Works in Progress, Golden Savannah!

My mother acted like she believed me when I told her what had happened to Evan wasn’t my fault. Then again, the details of what had happened that day weren’t exactly clear. Maybe I tried to forget on purpose, or maybe my mind had subconsciously shielded me from the truth—I’d heard that was common with traumatic situations. That day almost three years ago was certainly traumatic. Not only had Evan been seriously injured, but that was also the day my father walked away forever. It was if he blamed me for what happened to Evan too and couldn’t bear to look at me anymore.

Six Sentence Sunday

I’m back with Six Sentence Sunday!

I was going to share something from FORESHADOW, since it will be out soon…but it’s still in editing. Once I’m done editing, I’ll share more. Instead, I’m going to share something from one of my works in progress (WIPs), tentatively titled GOLDEN SAVANNAH.

My seventeenth birthday was the day that changed my life forever.
You were expecting me to say something cliché like my sixteenth birthday, weren’t you? Nope, seventeen is the magick number where I come from. I think it has something to do with the number seven being whole, complete—and finding him was certainly nothing less than magickal.
But I’m getting ahead of myself. Let me take you back to where it all began…
Want more? Come back next Sunday, when I’ll be sharing six more sentences from one of my books. Want to read six sentences from other authors’ books? Check out http://sixsunday.com/ for this week’s complete list!
